Services
My services are organized around the decisions leaders typically face, not around tools or frameworks. Each one is a structured way to turn a complex technology question into trade-offs the business can act on.
Three of them are usually triggered when something needs to be repaired or restructured (FIX). Three are usually triggered when something new is being built (BUILD). In most real engagements, the two sides overlap.
Executive Architecture Advisory (FIX)
Stabilizing IT landscapes under pressure and recovering stalled initiatives.
For situations where a major programme is off-track or the IT landscape has lost coherence, and leadership needs an independent view of what is actually going on.
- Recover critical projects that are over budget, delayed, or losing sponsor confidence.
- Untangle vendor and integration dependencies that block change.
- Re-establish operational visibility and control at the leadership level.
Enterprise Architecture Consulting (FIX)
Aligning organizational structure, processes, and systems with the current strategy.
Most often used during reorganization, M&A integration, or after a significant shift in business model.
- Map the real landscape of capabilities, systems, and costs — not the documented one.
- Identify overlap and duplication, and decide what to keep, consolidate, or retire.
- Design a lean operating model that fits the new organization.
Technology Strategy Advisory (BUILD)
Making technology choices the business can defend — on cost, risk, and long-term fit.
Focused on high-stakes choices: build vs. buy, cloud vs. on-premise, platform vs. point solution, in-house vs. vendor.
- Test investment hypotheses against architectural reality.
- Compare options on cost, risk, speed, reversibility, and strategic fit.
- Define the criteria and KPIs against which the choice will be judged.
Digital Transformation Advisory (BUILD)
Moving transformation programmes from slides to shipping.
For organizations whose transformation agenda is clear on strategy but losing momentum on execution.
- Break analysis paralysis with scoped prototypes and MVPs.
- Enforce sequence and scope discipline across distributed teams.
- Connect delivery outcomes back to the business case.
Application Portfolio Optimization (FIX)
Structurally reducing run-costs and legacy drag.
Used when too much of the IT budget is consumed by “keeping the lights on”, leaving little room for new capabilities.
- Audit the full application and license landscape.
- Identify systems that cost more than the value they generate.
- Produce and execute a sequenced decommissioning and consolidation plan.
AI Readiness & Governance (BUILD)
Architecting AI adoption as a managed capability, not a pilot factory.
For organizations moving beyond isolated AI experiments toward integrated use in real processes.
- Design where and how AI is allowed to operate, and which data it can touch.
- Structure knowledge and integration layers so AI assistants and agents produce reliable results.
- Set up governance and evaluation so adoption can be defended to a board or regulator.
How to engage
I work best with leaders who want to make a specific decision or resolve a specific situation, not with teams looking for additional hands.
- Good fit: you are about to reorganize, integrate, scale, restructure costs, or seriously adopt AI — and you want an architectural perspective before committing the budget or the team.
- Poor fit: staff augmentation, steady-state administration, or engagements where the real decision has already been made and only validation is wanted.
Engagement formats usually take one of three shapes:
- Fixed-scope project — 6 to 16 weeks. Assessment, target operating model, portfolio rationalization, architecture audit, or a specific transformation decision.
- Fractional or embedded advisor — months. Regular rhythm with CTO/CIO/CEO on a series of related decisions; typically a few days per week or per month.
- Expert due diligence or second opinion — days to weeks. Independent read on a portfolio company or a specific technology decision, for boards, investors, and PE firms.
